Tara was founded on the belief that the most meaningful celebrations begin with hospitality.

A New York based wedding planning and creative studio founded by Pawan Sukhdeo, shaped by personal heritage and an early life lived closely with nature. Born in Georgetown, Guyana, and raised in a small rural village on the East Coast of Demerara by her grandparents and extended family, Pawan’s life centered around community, generosity, and the simple act of caring for others. Meals were shared, neighbours became family, and every gathering was an expression of love.

Those early experiences continue to shape the way she approaches weddings today.

After more than twenty years in fashion and retail, she developed a deep appreciation for organization, aesthetics, and thoughtful service. Eventually, that experience led her into floral design and spatial storytelling, where she discovered a passion for creating environments that bring people together.

Tara grew from that realization.

Today, the studio plans and designs weddings that balance thoughtful hospitality with refined design and an appreciation for nature. Every celebration is approached with intention, creating experiences that feel welcoming, personal, and beautifully considered.
